Working with the File Manager feels like working with your personal computer. The integrated drag-and-drop functionality will allow you to easily move files between your personal computer and the server. Just select the file that you wish to upload from your PC and then drag it into your browser window. The same goes for downloading a file from the File Manager to your hard disk drive. Plus, you can download files and even folders to your desktop computer by clicking the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager GUI, you can create a brand new file or folder with just one click. All action buttons are handily located above the file/folder list and you can update your files with ease. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to a different folder, view the contents of a file or edit its permissions, erase a file, etc.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager interface, you will be able to archive and uncompress all types of files. It does work incredibly fast - simply select the files you would like to make a compressed archive of and click the Compress button. You can even select the compression format (.rar, .zip, etc.). It is just as easy to extract an archive file to a chosen folder.
File Editors
With the File Manager interface, you actually do not need any third-party tools to edit your files. There is an image viewer, which allows you to view the contents of your image files to get a clue about how the images will actually appear on the World Wide Web. Furthermore, you will find a set of in-built file editors, which will grant you total authority over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are aimed at more proficient users, while the WYSIWYG editor (where you can see all HTML source code changes in real time) is also suitable for non-tech-savvy users.
